"TERIYAKI TUFU is the BEST!" I've had a lot of tofu in my day, and the Teriyaki Tofu at Mikata ranks as one of the best tofu dishes I've ever eaten. The tofu is firm and almost crispy on the exterior, but somehow the interior is smooth and silky nearly like butter. Texture is phenomenal and the flavor is amazing. The noodles and rice that come with that dish are also perfect. Add their yum yum sauce and I'm over the moon. Even the ginger sauce with the side salad is really good. I've eaten here at least half a dozen times and the teriyaki tofu has been consistently great every time. I live in Kansas City and visit family in Knoxville several times a year. Mikata is always one of my first eagerly awaited stops. And the prices are very reasonable too!!!
