I’ve spent more mornings than I care to admit chasing down brunch in Knoxville, usually with a coffee in one hand and a list of excuses in the other. This city runs on church crowds, Market Square foot traffic, and the eternal question of whether to reserve ahead or roll the dice.

The places below range from a South Knoxville hideout that knows your tiramisu cold brew order to a polished STIR room that demands a reservation and delivers a steak worth planning around. My proof point is simple: I’ve eaten at The Flying Biscuit Cafe three times this month, and I’m not stopping.

You probably have your favorite, too. Here’s where I’d point you next.

My server was friendly and relaxed, which matched the room. I would recommend this spot without hesitation. It is worth the recommendation. I have already told three people to go.
